Backpacking Burritos

An easy recipe, using pouches of food.

Ingredients

  • 1 pouch Ready Rice We used Uncle Ben's cilantro lime rice.
  • 1 7 oz pouch Chicken Breast
  • 1 pouch beans We used Uncle Ben's zesty Mexican style beans
  • 4 large Tortillas
  • Grated cheese, optional
  • Salsa, optional

Instructions

  • Bring a pot of water to a boil.
  • Snip the edge of each pouch to vent. Stand the pouches upright in the pot of boiling water.
  • Cook for 5 minutes. Open the pouch all the way and check to see if everything is heated through. If not, stir and return to the pot for another 1-2 minutes.
  • Spoon a 1/4 of each mixture onto each tortilla. If you brought add-ons, add them. Roll up and enjoy.
